Background of the Study
Energy efficiency is a cornerstone of sustainable logistics, addressing environmental, economic, and operational goals. In the logistics sector, energy-efficient practices such as optimizing fuel usage, adopting alternative energy sources, and implementing eco-friendly technologies contribute to reduced carbon footprints and cost savings. Total Nigeria, a leading energy company, operates logistics services in Bauchi State, making it an ideal case for studying energy efficiency in logistics (Adebayo & Musa, 2024).
Logistics sustainability has gained prominence due to global environmental concerns and regulatory pressures. This study explores Total Nigeria’s initiatives to achieve energy-efficient logistics operations and their broader implications for sustainability (Eze & Ibrahim, 2023).
Statement of the Problem
Logistics operations are energy-intensive, contributing significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs. Total Nigeria faces challenges in balancing energy efficiency with logistics performance in Bauchi State. Limited studies exist on the role of energy efficiency in enhancing logistics sustainability in this context, necessitating this research (Okon & Bello, 2024).

- To propose strategies for improving energy efficiency in logistics sustainability.

Research Hypotheses

Scope and Limitations of the Study
